HOLY SNOWBALLS!  WIN A WINTER SHORT STORY!

Snowman with a child's hand putting an orange carrot nose in the center

I have some ::whomp whomp:: news. For more than a decade, I’ve spent at least one snowy day of the season reading our weathered snow books (Snowballs, Snowy Day, the adorable Snowman At Night) and then (after approximately 2 lifetimes spent getting on gear) we go outside to roll & dress our own snowman. It’s a simple winter tradition that I didn’t realize was close to my heart until it the Lucas Boys drew a line in the snow and declared they were too old for snowman building. ::sniff::

But I still bought carrots today. Just in case.

GET YOUR SNOW ON!

I’m partnering up with Northerly, an online publication that is all about loving Wisconsin family life, & Emily Balsley , the uh-mazingly talented illustrator, to bring you a FUNtabulous little deal to get you outside!

▪ Send me YOUR snowy day picture by Saturday, January 26 for a $50 credit to use on a family session anytime in 2019!

Update: Because of these downright frigid temps all week, we are also accepting snowy pics from anywhere on your camera roll and/or your Staying Cozy pics. We know Old Man Winter has been/will be super grumpy about actually being able to enjoy the fluffy stuff.

▪ Your picture and subscription to Jen Lucas Photography & Northerly’s newsletters automatically enter you in a drawing to win a winter short story with me, your family’s session featured in Northerly, and Emily’s cheery sledding elephant print!
▪ That’s it. Easy Peasy Snowman Sneezy. {I blame cabin fever for that.}

^^^ I mean, I can’t even!  So dang cute!!

Contest-y Fine Print Stuff

1  Email me (jen@jenlucasphotography.com) a picture of your fam enjoying a Snow Day (skating, sledding, forts, snowy walks, making snow persons, snowballs) OR your Staying Cozy (making soup, drinking hot cocoa, reading by the fire, family games, snuggled under a quilt) by Saturday, January 26!

2. Your email address will be added to both Jen Lucas Photography’s and Northerly’s online newsletter subscription. You must confirm Northerly’s subscription.

3. One (1) randomly drawn winner will receive the following:
a) winter short story (value: $400) photography session, which must be completed by March 21.  A short story is a 1-hour in-home winter documentary session that yields 18 high-resolution images. Winner must live in Dane County.
b) your winning session & subsequent interview featured on Northerly
c) Emily’s joyful Sledding Elephant 8×10 giclee print

4. ALL entries with pics & email addresses receive a $50 gift certificate to be used toward a family documentary session (except short stories) in 2019.

Ok, friends, go have some snow fun!
