Fall Wedding At Home

Fall Wedding At Home

On a crisp fall afternoon, the bride and groom opened the doors of their Victorian home to celebrate their wedding in the most intimate and heartfelt way. Golden leaves rustled outside as the couple welcomed loved ones into their historic space. Every corner of the home whispered its story and created a timeless backdrop for a day rooted in meaning.

The Ceremony

The bride wore a gorgeous beaded dress. The ceremony took place on the front porch, where sunlight filtered through the large trees. Family and friends gathered close, filling the corner yard with joyful tears as the couple exchanged handwritten vows. A close friend officiated, weaving stories of their shared life into the ceremony. No moment felt staged—every laugh, every glance, every tear unfolded naturally. Their dear friends shared poetry and other special words.

Guests gathered in the garden for drinks and connecting with each other after the ceremony and before heading to the reception.

We made special arrangements for me to join them on their drive to the reception. This time was a such a quiet, comfortable intimacy between them.  I want to always go with the bride and groom from now on!

The Reception

The most intimate reception at Old Sugar Distillery.  Long tables brimmed with hearty fare:  locally sourced barbecue. Glasses clinked in toasts that echoed with laughter, love, and the occasional happy tear. Children danced between tables while grandparents swayed to the music in each other’s arms.
