Middleton Family Documentary Photographer | Ordinary Sunday

This September morning was crisp and lovely, just as you imagine a Wisconsin September to be. Blue skies, warm sun filled the air, while late summer light and temperature still gave us saturated green grass and wall of hydrangeas.

“By all these lovely tokens September days are here, With summer’s best of weather and autumn’s best of cheer. ~ Helen Hunt Jackson

We spent the morning crafting, baking, tea-timing, drumming, biking, hop-scotching, gaming.  Laura picked up an Easy Bake Oven (remember those?!), and so Lydia and Audrey started the day with chocolate cake.  The best, right? The girl took turns measuring the tiny portions, and then took off to the playroom for a special tea time play while the lightbulb oven baked their chocolate goodness.

Later the girls play a super fun game of double-decker Connect Four–a must have family game!
