Family Photography Special Deal for 2020

So, here we all are. Day in, day out. It’s almost laughable at this point when one of my three boys asks, “What are doing this week?” But there are little tidbits, little one-offs that make a certain day stand out from another. I got a wonderful email this morning from a mom who is feeling all the same things we’re all feeling–namely, how can we keep doing this, but we keep doing this, so it looks like we can keep doing this. Her young daughter declared how special it is to have cereal bowl dinners around the fire, and in this extraordinary act of noticing, mom shifts to how the kids see this time. We are doing things and home has an even more important role in our lives than ever before.

Even if you’re not up for celebrating {insert your favorite 2020 brand lingo here: a) the new normal, b) these unprecedented times, c) navigating unchartered waters, d) the $hit$show, e) looking for silver linings, f) all of the above within a single day}, there is merit in just noticing.

I’m sure you’re familiar with the “can’t see the forest because of the trees” concept–we all do it/fail to do it. However, I imagine a lot of us are currently in the opposite concept: we’re concerned about the larger life picture, the forest, but the monotony of our daily routines and details, the trees, are currently lost because it’s all so repetitive. But this is where I come in–by being documented in an authentic way, and by authentic I mean you all show up as your real human selves, not a Pinterest version of someone else–by handing your life back to you in a gorgeous gallery, I show you that your life is not on hold.

I also know we need to take extra precautions during this {insert your favorite 20200 phrase from above} time.  While I’ll always wear a mask and keep socially distanced, we’ll also always be outside; I’m not comfortable with inside sessions and I’m sure you would agree.  I’m also taking fewer clients per week. Putting in a buffer makes things safer for both of us.

Two Choices for Family Photography With Me in 2020

I’ve taken 4- and 8-hour sessions off the table for 2020.  I currently offer my standard 90-minute/2 hour session pricing that I’ve held in place for the last five years. This allows us to sink in our time a bit more–kids relax, parents relax more 🙂  I’m also offering my rare Short Story rate the remainder of the year.  This special option is one -hour with approximately 25-30 high-resolution digital files for download for $500.  Flat rate (+ Dane Co sales tax). Monday-Thursday only.

  1. 90 minute to 2 hour-long sessions. Standard $185 session fee, time for multiple activities, and locations, usually 60-80 images in the final gallery.  Products sold separately. Digital file collection is $750 and includes all digital negative files in high- and web-resolution plus a bonus 4×6 Fuji print of each image.
  2. 60 minutes. $500. Digital files included: 25-30 images.  Prints/products sold separately (books, prints, canvases). Monday-Thursday only.

Dane Co tax (5.5%) will be added.
