Madison Family Photographer | Garden & Park Summer Night

The mid-August light (and mosquitos) greets us in the garden. Cherry tomatoes & freshly picked beans barely make it into the bowl; Max and Caroline pop them in their cheeks them faster than candy on Halloween night. Emily and Joe work the perimeter of their gorgeous garden, and soon, zucchini, cucumbers, and peppers overflow the shiny metal bowl.

I believe that the energy of humans who touched those beans goes into
the beans as well.  They become vibrant because of the handling.  This
vibrancy is something that a machine or harvester doesn’t have.  From
my standpoint … I believe that if food is grown and prepared with love …
infused with love  … well, it can be the humblest of food, but because
it’s prepared with love, it’s special.

Everything that can be harvested has been picked, plucked and waiting to be eaten later.  We swat pesky mosquitos and make our way to the neighborhood park.
Love a good frisbee session! What a joy to watch the whole family play together during our family photography session!
Goodness, Max & Caroline have grown so much since our last session! I so love how much of our lives stays the same: gardening, a trek to their park.  Yet, I wholly appreciate the nuanced differences between the two sessions.
