Madison Photographer | Wish You Were Here, Week 21

We are a group of 23 international photographers. Now into our sophomore year, each week we share an image from a moment in our own personal world as if we are sending virtual postcards to each other. I find the curating to be an extraordinary piece of the art itself; the images take on a life that seem to speak to each other as they flow from one to the next. A visual dialogue. However, the only person who sees our individual images ahead of time is the curator. She makes it downright magical.

Charlie picked up a barely touched mitt and ball he found in the “outside box” this week. By the well-lived path of age 8, he’s never shown an iota of interest in baseball.  Everything else, a resounding yes. Sewing, soccer, rock collecting, harmonic playing, comic book illustrating, tennis, hydraulic construction, biking, cooking, Capture the Flag strategizing, stone skipping…he’s interested in it all. But not baseball. Until this week.

Ben comes along for the ride. If history is to be repeated, chances are he’ll be interested in baseball by the end of the week.

Black and white. Two boys play baseball together at local park. Many big tree's behind them with the sun shining through.

Please check out our fab post this week: Wish You Were Here, Week 21. The half is coming so fast–it feels like icy flakes were just hitting our window a blink ago.

Beautifully Ordinary trademark
